Positions are available for Postdoctoral Fellows in the laboratory of Dr. Rob Welner, PhD for studies of leukemia Division of Hematology-Oncologystem cell maintenance, changes within the microenvironment during leukemogenesis, and alterations to host immune response from leukemic cells.

Our lab focuses on: 
(1) deciphering the gene regulatory network within the leukemic microenvironment that inhibits normal hematopoiesis 
(2) understanding the genetic program and functionality of adaptive immune cells following leukemic exposure, and 
(3) translating these findings using patient samples to relevant therapy. Recent publication for reference: Cancer Cell 2015, 11;27(5):671-81. 

This position is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, research-oriented individual with a strong background in immunology, molecular or cellular biology and experience in studying hematopoiesis will be preferred. An MD or Ph.D. degree is required and is expected to have at least one first author publication in an internationally recognized journal. 

The Division of Hematology-Oncology is part of the NCI-funded Comprehensive Cancer Center, one of the nation's leading cancer research and treatment centers. We aim to be a highly collaborative team, and the ability to work successfully with other investigators is critical.
