Essential Job Duties

Under general supervision, the Production Specialist markets, creates and produces printing services for Wolf Xpress. The primary responsibility is to ensure that a consistent and comparable quality/color of print is produced from each piece of printing equipment.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Meet with clients and develop marketing strategies to bring in new clients.
• Perform the actual completion of print jobs and ensure the final layouts meet the specifications of the design, operate multiple machines, package and prepare jobs for delivery.
• Make deliveries on campus using a state vehicle

This is an on site position only. Remote work is not possible.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure business needs are met.

Minimum Experience/Education

High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.

Other Required Qualifications

  • Able to plan, organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines and customer needs.
  • Good technical knowledge of printing and copying work, along with the equipment and software used for production.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with customers, peers and supervisors; and professionally communicate with multiple levels of employees within the University.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, including the ability to remain professional and respectful under pressure when dealing with difficult situations, to team and customers.
  • Excellence in completing all tasks and performance goals.
  • Requires standard troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to use or learn to use email.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Related experience within a retail environment.
  • Experience in Graphic Design/Graphic Arts
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suite

Required License or Certification

  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Valid North Carolina Driver’s License must be maintained as a condition of employment.
