Event and Operations Assistant

Job Description

EVENT AND OPERATIONS ASSISTANT, Schwarzman College of Computing (SCC), to play a vital role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of various events while assisting with the day-to-day operations of the college.  Will report to the events manager and facilities and operation administrator and work closely with multiple teams to ensure seamless event experiences and efficient operational processes, and contribute to hands-on projects relevant to the upkeep of event spaces and renovations as assigned.

Job Requirements:

REQUIRED:  high school diploma or its equivalent; at least three years of administrative, event, or operations support experience; ability to lift and carry heavy objects weighing up to 30 pounds on a regular basis; excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to multitask and juggle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities with limited supervision in a pressured work environment; ability to work effectively with others at all levels; strong Microsoft Office and PowerPoint presentation skills; experience with SAP and on-line calendar software; and willingness to adapt to and learn new systems as needed.  PREFERRED:  bachelor’s degree and proficiency with EMS scheduling software and/or basic graphic design software.  Job #23918-5

Must be available to work in person for a minimum of four days per week during peak events or renovation periods.  Occasional evening and weekend work will be required.
