Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business or related field and four years of responsible Administrative Office Experience. Additional experience may be used on a one-to-one basis to offset the educational requirements. The university offers market competitive salary and benefits.  Grade EF. Salary Minimum $47,476

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in Music

  • Experience with financial reporting software; PeopleSoft

  • Proficiency in Excel, University Reports, and Onbase

  • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to analyze and consolidate metrics to present in clear and concise manner.

Position Description

Job Summary

Manage administrative needs for the School of Music's Dean and Administrative leadership team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the time and plan the calendar for the Dean and administrative team.  Facilitate interactions of the Dean with unit, campus and community members. 

  •  Manage office needs including planning and execution of events, ordering supplies, preparing part-time lecturer appointment letters, preparing faculty load letters and other correspondence related to needs within the Dean's suite.

  • Manage student workers at the front desk includes managing workload and assignment of duties; hiring and training new students each year.

  • Manage and coordinate faculty tenure, promotion, retention, and post-tenure review processes.

  • Assist with short-term projects and special assignments and other duties as assigned.  Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports as assigned.
