  • Provides administrative support to the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs. Including office management, scheduling and meeting coordination, budget monitoring, travel arrangements, special projects, clerical support, communication with on and off campus constituencies, composing correspondence, maintaining files, and attending (as requested) staff meetings and retreats.

  • Assists, where appropriate, Associate Vice President for Student Success, Director of General Education and Undergraduate Curriculum, University Registrar, Director of Study Abroad, and Director of Global Engagement. This includes extensive work with Student Academic Services in administration of faculty advising.

  • Assists Vice Provost on projects including, gathering, researching, and preparing data for various projects, publications, and presentations. Reviews and proofreads materials for accuracy and conformance. Assures Vice Provost is fully briefed before scheduled meetings and projects.

  • Assists with resource/budget management for Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and related departments. Administers, monitors, and reconciles office budget for all VPAA lines as well as for Student Academic Services. Prepares and completes University paperwork required for financial, accounting, and personnel/payroll procedures. Provides regular updates to VPAA, Director of General Education, Direct of Global Engagement, Registrar, and other direct reports as needed.

  • Maintains appropriate communication and coordination with the offices on cross-functional matters, events, and issues of mutual interest. Maintains appropriate communication with other University departments, students, parents, trustees, faculty, etc. as directed by the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs.

  • Coordinates the accreditation process and report. Responsible report coordination as well as working with campus wide offices for timely submission of report. Responsible for creation and maintenance of accreditation web portal.

  • Responsible for coordination of multiple projects, both within the Office of the VPAA and campus-wide projects. Assist with coordination of departmental events such as faculty training, new student advising, faculty retreat, Day of Common Learning, Ivy Cutting, Commencement

  • Serves as primary liaison for information from the office of the Vice Provost and related departments. Develops and maintains websites for the Vice Provost.

  • Maintains personnel files for the office of the Vice Provost. Assists with process paperwork relating to recruiting and change in positions. Assures completion of monthly exempt staff leave report.

  • Coordinates upkeep and trouble-shooting of office printer and computers, copy machines, copier paper supplies and hospitality supplies for Office of the Vice Provost; serves as liaison for route maintenance, remodel, housekeeping, recycling, and security in relevant areas.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree.

  • Three years of experience in office management, clerical or administrative experience.

  • Self-directed personality with strong inter-personal skills and ability to work in a team management setting.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours during peak-loaded periods and special events sponsored by Academic Affairs and its departments.

  • Strong personal commitment to the University's Christian mission.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Additional Information:

Position will remain open until filled. Desired start date, August 5, 2019.

Salary: DOE
