Position Summary

The Intramural and Club Sport Manager is responsible for the administration and organization of the intramural, and the club sport programs.

Essential Functions

Club Sports (45%):

  • Supervises the current program of club sports.
  • Supervises, hires, and trains all club sport advisors/coaches.
  • Meets regularly with club presidents/captains.
  • Works closely with the Senior Associate AD for Facilities to schedule practices and games.
  • Coordinates team travel for practice and competition.
  • Sets and manages the annual operating budgets and gift accounts for each team and provide a continuous monthly ledger.
  • Represents the club sport program at student open houses and orientation events.
  • Processes expense reports, check requests for each team.
  • Monitors fund raising activities for each sport.
  • Prepares quarterly and annual reports upon request. Conducts annual evaluations of each club sport program. Solicits feedback from participants.
  • Hires, trains and supervises club sport officers and student assistants.
  • Evaluates and manages new club sports requests.
  • Maintains and updates the Club Sport website.
  • Meets bi-weekly with Club Sport advisory board.
  • Maintains compliance with all conference affiliations.

Intramurals (45%):

  • Supervises the intramural sport program.
  • Organizes, communicates, and markets all intramural offerings to the University Community.
  • Maintains and updates website for intramural information.
  • Works closely with the Senior Associate AD for Facilities to schedule intramural activities.
  • Hires, trains, and supervises student workers as game referees, scorekeepers, supervisors, intramural marketing and administrative assistants.
  • Manages the operating budget and process check requests and expense reports for the program.
  • Represents the Intramurals and Club Sport programs at student open houses and orientation events.
  • Tracks Intramural participation.
  • Manages Intramural leagues through IM Leagues.
  • Conducts bi-weekly supervisor meetings and monthly full-staff meetings.

Fitness Center (10%):

  • Assists the Administrator of Fitness and Recreation in the management of the RamFit Center, as needed.

Additional Functions

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or in lieu of degree a minimum of 2+ years’ experience working in club sport, intramural or recreation field in higher education.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends.
  • Successful candidates should have a knowledge of and commitment to the goals of Jesuit Education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree

Minimum Starting Salary: $58,500

Maximum Starting Salary: $62,300

Note: Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills.
