Summary of Position

The Department of Mathematics at Plymouth State University in Plymouth, New Hampshire, invites applications for a non-tenure track Teaching Faculty position to commence in August 2019. The Department offers B.S. degrees in mathematics, computational and applied mathematics, middle and secondary school teacher certification, and middle school and secondary school non-certification. Teaching Faculty positions are full time, with benefits and funded on a year to year basis. The teaching load is 30-32 credit hours per year.

Experience teaching introductory statistics, college algebra, precalculus, or mathematics for grade school educators.

Skills to serve as an academic adviser and mentor for undergraduate students
Demonstrated ability to engage with a wide variety of learners, including first-generation students.
Competence in technology and innovative course delivery strategies.

Duties / Responsibilities


Job Duties



Teaching faculty are expected to teach 15-16 contact hours/semester. Responsibilities include teaching mathematics content courses for the General Education program, teaching upper-level undergraduate courses, advising students, and service.
