SUMMARY:

The Management Department at Niagara University invites applications for a full time, tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank, beginning in September 2019.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Strategy or in Management with a background/specialty in Strategic Management, or an equivalent degree.  While the teaching will focus primarily on a capstone-strategy course, the ability to teach in a secondary area such as MIS, SCM, entrepreneurship or HR/OB would also be valuable. To support online options, a proven ability to teach in that format is strongly preferred. Candidates should demonstrate success or the potential for excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. ABDs will be considered for tenure-track position, but Ph.D. conferral within a specified time frame will be required for continuing employment.  Salary and benefits are AACSB competitive (3/3 teaching load and travel/faculty development support).

About the Institution http://www.niagara.edu/ )

Niagara University was founded in 1856 by the Catholic Vincentian Fathers, whose mission emphasizes practical training and excellence in service of society. NU’s traditional stone buildings and leafy green campus sit on Monteagle Ridge, overlooking the Niagara River Gorge just three miles north of the majestic Niagara Falls.  Immediately adjacent to Canada, NU’s bi-national culture is built on close proximity to major manufacturing and business centers in Buffalo and Toronto, attracting from both countries significant populations of students and faculty.  Niagara Falls also boasts an affordable cost of living almost 20% below the national average.

Since September, Niagara University has been recognized for its strong record of preparing graduates for real-world success by U.S. News & World Report, The Princeton Review, Money magazine, College Choice, and Colleges of Distinction.

About the Western New York Area

Buffalo NY and the surrounding area are experiencing an economic resurgence with a billion dollars being invested in the medical corridor and other industries (e.g., the largest solar panel manufacturing facility in the United States). The average work commute time is 15-30 minutes. Summer boasts beach living, outdoor art and music festivals, outdoor classes such as dance and yoga, bike and running paths, and patio dining while the winter includes skiing/winter sports, professional sports, and rich offerings in theater and the arts. Enjoy NY's extensive state-park system all year round. Our diverse population creates a variety of dining experiences.
