Keuka College seeks a leader to serve in an interim capacity for one year as Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA). Reporting to the President, the interim VPAA is the chief academic officer of the College, serves as a vital member of the executive leadership team, oversees the academic integrity of the institution, and provides campus-wide leadership in achieving the mission of the College.
The Vice President for Academic Affairs provides academic leadership in strategic planning, budget management, program development and review, and faculty development and evaluation. The VPAA will carry out the mission of the College and is responsible for overseeing the overall academic integrity of the entire institution and all its programs in all its delivery modalities. The VPAA will be responsible for strengthening the College’s academic programs; recruiting and retaining outstanding faculty and academic staff; and have direct responsibility for all Division Chairs and Program Directors within the Academic Affairs units.
Provide leadership for coordinating, developing, and improving the academic programs of the College
Oversee accreditation, assessment, and continuous academic improvement processes
Actively participate in all major strategic reviews and decisions of the institution
Serve on the President's Cabinet
Represent the College in the greater community, as appropriate
Prepare and manage Academic Affairs annual budget allocations
Support student retention and success
Coordinate with the Vice President for Enrollment Management & Student Development on issues as they pertain to new academic program needs
Serve as final authority over all Academic Division Chairs and Program Directors
Facilitate communications between faculty and staff of Academic Affairs and other units in the College and the corresponding committee of the Board
Interact effectively with students, staff, faculty, and administrators
Carry out executive assignments and other duties, inside and outside the College, as assigned by the President

The successful candidate must have:
An earned doctorate from a regionally accredited college or university
At least seven years of academic administration and leadership experience
A distinguished record of teaching, scholarship and collegial service
A practical and intellectual understanding of higher education administration
A working understanding of academic assessment, program review, and curriculum development
Experience with accreditation practices
A strong commitment to working effectively with other administrators, staff, and faculty in communicating the mission and vision of the College.
